about me

My earliest recollection of my love for drawing, was when I was probably no more than 3 years old.  My mum would draw a squiggle on a piece of paper and my job was to turn it into something; a horse or a smiley alien! I would line up all my colouring pens and pencils and wait patiently for my Dad to return from work with a ream of paper he'd 'acquired'. I would spend every waking moment with a pencil in my left hand, and any scrap of paper I could find tucked away safely in a pocket. Over the years, my love of painting has stayed with me, my mind always on the lookout for my next project or commission. Some of these included a 'trompe l'oeil' fish pond on a bathroom floor and a hand-painted wall scene with shutters opening to a view of a family's favourite beach in Cornwall.

I spent many years working with interior designers on commissioned pieces of art work,  including hand painted wallpaper, stone blocking and wood graining to name a few. Two years ago we welcomed into our crazy fun filled home, an even crazier fun filled Cockapoo puppy called Woody, who fills each day with love. And mud! His mischievous adventures normally involve the stealing of various items of underwear - not always from 'the clean washing pile! My first pet canvas was of Woody, from when he was around 8 months old. The rest is history! Jus x x
